Survive the Night Progress Update #4


Hey everyone! Just wanted to give an update on Survive the Night. I have decided to move onto a different design of the game instead of the ninja village idea I had at the start. I found I was burnt out of the idea, and found a better way to express the game I wanted to make, which is now a zombie survival game where you can shoot the zombies to earn points, while also surviving for as long as you can! This was a big week for production, as I had to find new assets, create a new main level, add new player and enemy characters, add a shooting feature, collisions, and get the zombies to spawn in at random places and times. Fortunately, I was able to do all that, while adding some other features in like a camera that follows the player around. Now that the bulk of the game is made, I will be moving onto creating a main menu for it, as well as adding in a point and time system you can see when playing the game. I also plan on adding either more details to the map or expanding the map at a later date to add more room for the player to move around in.
